Pierluigi Giordani dining chairs, wood and fabric, Italy, 1950s, set of eight.
Designed in Italy in the 1950s, these chairs capture Pierluigi Giordani’s sculptural approach to seating, where structure and gesture are inseparable.
The defining V-shaped backrest functions as both a structural solution and a graphic element, giving the chair a sense of lightness and upward tension. The wooden frame is shaped as a continuous, fluid line, revealing a deep sensitivity to proportion and balance. There is no decorative excess—only controlled curves and precise transitions.
An elegant example of Italian mid-century design, expressing a moment when craftsmanship and modern form found a natural equilibrium.
