Luigi Vaghi dining chairs for Former, Italy, 1968, set of six.
Luigi Vaghi designed these sculptural dining chairs in 1968 for Former. The style is typical of the age, visible in other models like the iconic “Pigreco” chairs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and bearing a faint resemblance to Mario Marenco’s “Sapporo” chairs for Mobil Girgi. These strong personality chairs are made from solid and warm ash wood and reupholstered in black leather, crafted with a slender backrest resembling an architectural marvel through their smooth appeal. They’re supported by four rounded rectangular legs that gracefully intertwine with the backrest, offering a spacious and inviting wing-like seat.
