A tall, gently curved column rises from a low, stepped base on small feet, crowned by a half disc whose wedge-shaped segments are cut in contrasting tones. Along its length runs a narrow slit set with bow-tie shaped elements, each one fitted with care, so that light passes through the column in a slow, graceful rhythm. A small curved shelf protrudes at the neck, which gives the profile a posture close to a figure. The wood is dark and reddish, with a soft, hand-finished surface and warm highlights where the curve catches the light. The base shows a carefully joined structure of timber blocks, and a small mark is visible on the column.
