Geometric Abstract Wooden Sculpture, Italy, 1990s.

A large triangle of joined planks rises on a slender stem above a stepped base, its sharp point reaching upward like an arrowhead or a sail. The surface glows in deep amber and chestnut tones, with the grain running in long, rich lines, and a fine red edge outlines the lower border like a thin, bright ribbon. Near the centre, a narrow vertical element with small round studs adds a quiet detail, and a burnt signature is marked into the wood. From the back, a horizontal bar and a small bolt show how the panel is held, a simple, honest piece of construction that is part of its charm. In profile, the triangle leans slightly and gives the sculpture a lively, dynamic line.
