Vittorio Introini “Chelsea” dining room table for Saporiti, lacquered wood, Italy, 1960.
This outstanding “Chelsea” extendable table was designed by Vittorio Introini and manufactured by Saporiti in the 1960s. It stands on a pyramidal base, while the rounded top can be extended and turned into an oval shape. Its particularity is that the extension flaps are underneath the stem and appear from scratch by opening the top circular sections.
